The Challenge We Address
and other agricultural regions, millions of smallholder farmers work on degraded soils. Crop residues such as straw, roots or pruning waste are often burned or left to decompose, releasing CO₂ back into the atmosphere.
At the same time, companies worldwide are looking for high-quality, trustworthy carbon removal solutions that create real impact – not just compensation on paper.
Across Africa
Smallholder farmers usually cannot access carbon markets. Certification is expensive and complex. Documentation requirements are high. Technical systems often require stable internet access. As a result, enormous climate potential remains unused.
The Problem
Our Approach
Turning Agricultural Residues into Long-Term Climate Solutions
We develop scalable carbon removal projects based on biochar, in close collaboration with smallholder farmers and farmer associations.
Converting Residues into Biochar
Farmers convert agricultural residues into biochar using certified, controlled methods (pyrolysis). Instead of decomposing or being openly burned, the biomass is transformed into a stable form of carbon.
Permanent Carbon Storage in Soil
The biochar is applied to the farmers’ fields.

-
Permanently stores carbon for hundreds to thousands of years
-
Improves soil fertility
-
Enhances water retention
-
Increases resilience against drought
-
Can improve crop yields

This creates a double benefit: climate protection and stronger local agriculture.
What Makes Biochar Carbon Removal Different?
When incorporated into soil, it does not return to the atmosphere under normal conditions.
Plants absorb CO2 while growing
Unlike many climate projects that avoid future emissions, biochar actively removes COâ‚‚ from the atmosphere and stores it in a stable form
Through pyrolysis, this carbon becomes structurally stable
This makes biochar one of the most promising and scientifically recognized carbon removal approaches available today.
What bizpando Actually Does
The core of our work is not only biochar production –
it is the infrastructure around it.
We provide a digital, offline-capable platform that allows farmers and local partners to document:
-
Feedstock origin
-
Production process
-
Biochar quantities
-
Soil application
The system works even in regions with limited or unstable internet access. Data is securely recorded, aggregated, and prepared for certification.
Digital Monitoring & Documentation
Certification & Verification
We organize and manage the certification process according to recognized carbon standards.
This ensures that the carbon removal is:
-
Measurable
-
Verified
-
Transparent
Buyers receive high-quality, traceable carbon credits backed by documented real-world impact.
Individual smallholder farmers cannot access international carbon markets on their own. We:
-
Aggregate carbon removal volumes
-
Bundle certificates
-
Connect supply directly with global buyers
This makes participation possible for thousands of farmers who would otherwise be excluded.
Aggregation & Market Access
Climate Impact & Global Demand
We work with companies, financial institutions,
and insurers seeking reliable, high-integrity
carbon removal solutions.
Buyers benefit from:
-
Transparent documentation
-
Strong social co-benefits
-
Long-term carbon storage
-
Direct traceability to real agricultural projects
Farmers benefit from:
-
Additional, stable income
-
Improved soil productivity
-
Increased resilience
-
Access to international markets
Social Impact: More Than Carbon
Our projects are designed to create measurable social impact alongside climate benefits.
Smallholder farmers receive additional revenue streams
Knowledge transfer improves agricultural practices
Farmer associations gain stronger market positioning
Rural communities benefit from long-term soil regeneration
Climate protection becomes a driver for rural development – not a burden.
Why Our Model Is Scalable
Our approach is scalable because it combines:
Existing farmer networks and associations
Standardized documentation processes
A digital platform designed for low-resource environments
End-to-end management from measurement to credit sale
The model can be transferred to different regions and crop systems, including large cotton-growing areas and other agricultural sectors.
